Updated Royal Enfield Himalayan launching in February

For 2021, Royal Enfield will start the year with launch of its updated off-road bike: the Himalayan. And a slew of new products are planned for launch this year.

In mid-2020, Royal Enfield bikes updated the Himalayan, giving it a BS6-compliant engine. And for 2021, it will get some additional updates. You can expect the updated Himalayan to be launched in different colour themes and graphics, one of which will include a new green colour and some other dual-tone themes. A matte-black and silver paint job will be offered too. Then the fuel tank is expected to sport a new logo and graphics.

The seating position will be tweaked for better comfort, and the metal frame at the front will be new too. But apart from this, there will be no such significant tweaks to the engine and overall silhouette of the bike. The most important addition will be the ‘Tripper Navigation’, also seen on the new Meteor 350. The bike will feature a fully-digital dial for step-by-step navigation. Royal Enfield’s Tripper Navigation is powered by Google, meaning, in order to access it, you’ll have to download the RE app and connect your phone to the system through Bluetooth.

We’re expecting the updated Himalayan to be launched next month, but the bike is sure to come with a slightly higher sticker price, compared to the current amount of ₹ 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Also, RE enthusiasts will be excited to know that the new Classic 350 is close to launch as well, while a 650cc cruiser is expected too.  Also, grab the latest info on the upcoming bikes in India, only at autoX.
